Not sure whether to be psyched or cringe that the WW pilot got greenlit. I really don't know anything about her geek-wise. I know the lasso, the invisible jet, the punching in of Nazi faces, but the rest *shrugs*. It's the idea of another female superhero failing that worries me. That it failing is my first thought also worries me. *sigh* But on the good side, Bridget Regan's name is already being shouted from the masses, so that's great (if she wants to do it). And if she does, then I really hope they back her with a great show. I think I'll settle on ~pensive~ for now.

Of course not! Duh! New R/K book coming out soon (first of three), and my C/K subtext loving heart is all a flutter! I recognize, on some level, that I should be concerned for Richard and Kahlan, and the sacrifice this omen machine is predicting that they will be forced to make. But these sacrifices always end up separating them, tasking Richard with something wizardly while Kahlan goes off with Cara to kill thousands of evil dudes and generally just be awesome together. That is the kind of sacrifice I can get behind. And I'm also seriously looking for some C/K main text closure dealing with the chainfire spell. Their bond is far too strong to not have had some reaction to finally remembering each other, yet it was completely unwritten. *pouts and feels slighted*

Anyway, to the handful of lj friends that get my posts (and has read the SoT series?), here's hoping for the best kind of bad omen.

Last night, I thought I was going to be ok. That the epicness, no, EPICNESS! of 2.22 was enough and the best way to go out, and that a world without new Seeker was one that I could slowly come to terms with...eventually.

WHY IS SHE NOW BEING SHOT WITH ARROWS?!?! GO LOOK, (i'll wait), BECAUSE SHE IS TOTALLY SHOT TWICE IN THE GUT WITH WHITE FLETCHED ARROWS THAT THE 2 MORD-SITH SHOOT! Yes, there is a pink dress, and long blond hair, and what looks like to be the remnants of some powerful magic still on fire on the ground. Logical conclusion, Zedd and Kahlan are helping to unbreak her somehow after she fights Richard and they tie her up (side note, PLEASE LET KAHLAN FEEL ~CONFLICTED~ ABOUT BINDING HER HANDS. FOR THE SAKE OF ALL THINGS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE). Things go awry, as they are want to do in Cara's life, so she gets turned into what appears to be a Bavarian tavern girl. AND THEN SHE GETS SHOT WITH ARROWS WTFFFFFFFFFFFFF?!?!!/1!!

I'm feeling invalidated that her unbroken-ness could be driven in part by magical interference. Cheating? Everyone knows that the only proper course of action is a tender C/K moment. Perhaps they will arrive at this conclusion in the episode, because bitches need to get cut in 2.22 and my BBs need to be on night wisp levels of ~feelings~ with each other when that happens. (surprise hurt/comfort scene because of said white fletched arrows deemed acceptable methodology)

Finals suck, I haven't slept in two days, and now Seeker anticipation will escalate to dangerous levels until next Saturday. If anyone finds my mind in that time please do return, kthxbye.

Panis is all they think about this episode.  They think about Panis during the day.  They think about Panis at night.  They travel leagues just to get their hands on Panis.  For decades they've dreamed about the things they would do to Panis.  They've vowed that getting Panis would be the last thing they do.

I have cleared my schedule today, I worked all week to plan around tonight, and I've kept my phone on silent all day to make sure I don't have to make excuses about why I'm going to be shut in my apartment, all night re-watching the same episode 27 times in a row.  LotS, I love you, but wtf are you doing to my life?
